Ash Court sits on a quiet residential street in Kentish Town, close to Camden Town, and within easy reach of families across north London. It is a purpose-built nursing home with a long-established team of registered nurses and care team members, where nurses are on duty 24 hours a day.
We offer nursing care, dementia care and respite care for people aged 55 and over. The home has 62 bedrooms over three floors, with bright lounges, a dining room, quiet corners to read in and a patio garden for warmer days. Inside, our lounge, reception and a number of the bedrooms have been refreshed in a style inspired by hygge, the Danish idea of cosiness and contentment found in simple comforts and good company.

Registered nurses are on duty 24 hours a day, supported by care team members who help with personal care and everyday routines. Every resident has a personal care plan, written with them and their family and reviewed as their needs change, and we work closely with GPs, hospital teams and the other healthcare professionals involved in each person’s care. The team has experience of caring for people with Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, epilepsy, acquired brain injury and other neurological conditions, as well as complex wounds. We also provide convalescent care after a hospital stay, and palliative and end of life care centred on comfort, dignity and the wishes of the resident and their family.
For residents living with dementia, familiar things matter. We keep to the routines people know, and encourage everyone to bring photographs, keepsakes and their own furnishings, so their room feels like theirs. Residents and families get to know the same faces, and the team gets to know them.

Mealtimes are an important part of the day at Ash Court. We work with apetito, a leading provider of meals for care homes, whose recipes are developed by chefs, dietitians and nutritionists. Meals are adapted to each resident’s likes, dislikes and dietary needs, including texture-modified and other special diets. The dining room is a sociable place to eat, and in warmer weather the patio garden is used for barbecues.

Ash Court is a most warming and welcoming home. My friend is treated with respect and dignity. The manager and care staff are very informative, I cannot thank the staff enough for their care. The place has a nice homely feel and friends and relatives are made to feel welcome.

Moving into a care home is a big step, and we take it at your pace. Before anyone moves in, we meet them and their family to understand their nursing care, medical and personal needs, working with any healthcare professionals already involved, and use this to put a personal care plan in place.
We encourage residents and families to visit first, to look around the rooms and communal areas, meet the team and ask anything they like.

As the Home Manager at Ash Court Care Centre, I am honoured to lead and inspire a team dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents. With over 15 years of experience in the social care industry and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Management, I have been a valued member of the Ash Court team since 2018. In 2021, I was promoted to the role of Deputy Manager, and in November 2022, I was appointed as the Home Manager. My expertise includes utilising the latest technology to enhance care delivery, and my passion lies in promoting the well-being and positive experience of our residents.
